I'm painting with lounge themes with browns, reds, and gold. What colors do I ask for at Home Depot? Brand?
Answers:
get sand and chocolate the worked fabulously in my living room work with a smooth newly plastered surface for best results and compliment with cream accessories...

They carry Glidden and Behr brands there, if you have a sample of the colors you want to use, take it in and they can color match anything......They can show you everything you need...

if you want a textured look without all the trouble, try sponge painting or rag rolling...start with a nice coat of a gold color you choose let it dry then take sponge wet it and squeeze out the excess water, dab it into a rich brown, dab off the excess. with a pouncing motion pounce over the gold randomly. you should also use a second color that coordinates with the brown maybe the red...you will get a textured look almost like stone...just make sure you use a color wheel to keep all your colors on the warm side....happy painting
Well the best thing for you to do is go to Home Depot and look at their samples and decide exactly what colors you want. Burgandys are always good, honey, and chocolate also.
