how do you remove and replace wallpaper?

I am always getting this wrong. Is it on the computer or the walls of your home - please update.
O.K.: You can strip it by dampening it with water or using a stripper liquid. Really stubborn paper requires a 'steamer' which can be hired. When you start, work from the wall opposite the door and end up by the door in case patching is necessary, it will not show up too badly there. Get a good paste brush and a paste table if you can. Depending on the pattern on the paper, cut slightly longer than the full length of the 'drop'. A big tip is once you have pasted the paper on the table do not hold it with all fingers. Use just your thumbs and ring fingers, more pressure than that and it will tear. Be sure to brush out all air bubbles sideways towards the joints. When you come to light switch fittings cut a large diagonal X and trim accordingly. Don't do what my mum was always doing, putting the floral patterns upside down. Good luck.

to remove wallpaper on your walls you peel off the pattern part. Then you perforate the backing with a special tool and soak it with a solution of fabric softener and water. Then scrape of the backing and glue.
To remove a wallpaper on your computer. You find a graphic you would like to use, right click as choose "Set as background".

I can tell you the best way to remove wall paper...you score it slightly with a knife and then mix one part fabric softener and one part hot or warm water...using a sponge you get the paper nice and wet and it will slide off...if there is paint underneath you will need to wipe down the wall to get rid of the glue. Paint stores sell the solution premixed but why spend all the money.
As for hanging wall paper...if you are using stripes or a pattern that needs to be matched...just make you sure you plan the lay out well..personally I would hire somebody. They are good and fast and will use a lot less paper than an amateur would. Wall papering is such a pain! Good luck.
removing is the fun part, soak with water, go from the edge and just rip it off until it's all gone, use a scraper for annoying bits.
To replace, get wallpaper, paste the back hold it up and put in on straight, flattening from top 2 bottom, don't leave any bubbles. then gently brush over the top.
I just removed wallpaper with a garmet steamer ($29.95). No mixing solutions or scoring the wallpaper. You may have to heat both the top coat & glued paper on the wall, but with patience it will come off.
dont bother with the fabric softener...just use a spray bottle filled with warm water...spray it on, let it soak through, peel off paper, wipe off glue
