can you hire........?

i am moving and my mom doesnt really want to do all the packing on her own. is there such a thing as hiring someone to help pack?

Answers:
yes, and speaking from experience (we have had 5 houses in nine years of marriage) it is well worth it. For example if the moving company is charging you $3000 for the move, the packing would be about $400. Some of the moves were paid for by his company, some we paid for. You can choose to just have them pack the kitchen or any room or the whole thing.

I recommend you do a declutter first to minimize cost, especially in kitchens. You should pack all jewelry and any irreplaceable breakables (if they are small) and take them in the car with you.

One last warning, on a company paid move, they once packed and moved full garbage can.

Other answers:
Many of the large moving companies offer that service, or Labor Ready/Manpower.

Yes you can talk to a moving company and they should be able to direct you in the right direction.
Yes.
yeah call up some friends and ask them and then u pay them when all the packing and unloading is done
sure, if you can't find a legit business, then there are always some kids that you know that would love to make a few extra bucks!
