Touch of creme color surrounded by murky living room?

My living room has hardwood floors, black leather sofas and a black/gray entertainment center. Would a touch of creme color work?(Such as creme colored curtains, a coffee table and fall tables beside creme/gray/black tiles?)

Answers:    Fundamentally you are dealing with proportions of color and advantage level. I know that sounds geeky but thinking of it that opening will help you verbalize better what's working for you or not.
If you want the floor space to discern more open-try a coffee table at the same utility level and/or tone of the floor.
If the sofas are already generous making the end table not as dark would back.
Are the walls dark or wispy? Cutains could either relieve break up the space (if you choose curtains that are a different color than the walls)or make it appear more spacious(if you match them to the walls.
Cream color is a fine independent in and of itself, it lately depends what you are trying to acheive in the space.
The coffee table would be nice. You could also invest within crownmolding. It will pull the eyes up and give a good, sophisticated touch of color. That's newly my opinion :)
