Recessed Lighting?
I bought my house new, within 1992. My sister has alike issue with her recessed lighting.
No one contained by the house has ever smoked, and in attendance is no grease or dust on them.
Answers: I don't know...I didn't think that they would discolor. Great, I a moment ago had my kitchen redo and I have nearly 9 lights like that! At most minuscule I have a couple of obedient years left until they attain yucky.

possibly it could be from the heat.
The rings are removable and can be wash with mild soap and marine. Some have springs that hold the rings up, and some enjoy spring clips. Just pull the rings down and squeeze the spring clips together. The paint on them is glorious heat. They turn yellowish from the usual air contamination within kitchens and other areas open to the kitchen because the fry from them causes nouns circulation around them, drawing the dirt to them.
Just clean them when you do your common spring cleaning chores.
