How do I remove my existing formica countertop?

I see screws lower than the counter and I am planning on replacing with granite. Is it a moderately easy commission? Does anyone know a website that would tell me a step by step instructions....for novice? Thanks in finance.

Answers:    Removing Formica countertops is very glib. First, disconnect and remove the sink, then nick out the screws you saw (and a few more you'll hold to hunt for) and lift it stale.

While this is pretty easy to do, if you are have a pro install the new granite countertop, I would expect them to remove the feeble one as part of the charge. He may be pleasantly surprised to have the work already done for him, but I doubt he'll steal much off the bill for it.

Good Luck!
I hear that you want to do this yourself and if you can fine, but I would consent to a pro handle this. Maybe you could integer out how to tear out your present counter but if you enjoy no experience in stone, I wouldn't do it. The train result should be flawless for the money you are spending. Don't take side steps to retrieve a buck or two.
take out the screw and lift up
if it does not come stale then capture it off beside a crow-bar
