My love and I sleep on a Queen size bed. We used to have a king size, but it took up more room than was necessary. In fact, the queen size is plenty of room if my seven year-old wants to climb in because she has had a bad dream.
My daughter (7) sleeps on a twin, but we are getting her a queen so that when her friends sleep over they are not all trying to sleep in the twin bed. My son (15) sleeps on a futon rather than his twin bed.
