does anyone have a room painted in orange or orange tones and do you like it?

Answers:
Yes our great room is this color and we love it. We went with a deeper tone on one wall with more of a brown tone to help calm the orange and it is very cool. Everyone loves family get togethers in this room, lots of laughter and fun.

Does peach count? A medium peach color, not pastel.
I came home from work one day to find my husband had removed the icky wallpaper in our kitchen and was painting it this beautiful peach tone. It was gorgeous in the sunlight and warmed up the room nicely.
The rule of thumb is to use cool colors in south facing rooms but this was a south facing kitchen and the warm color worked really well.
no years ago orange was in.
but i think it is coming back in.
I'm not a big orange fan but I have a foe finish in my waiting room the base coat is a school bus yellow with a rusty orange over top its beautiful I get so many complements on it. I never thought I'd like it but I'd never change it now.
My living room is sort of a pumpkin color & it's fabulous. Everyone loves it. It glows in the winter & is bright & happy in the summer.

no! but im either doing mine monkeys or polka dots!
Yes, I recently did my guest bath with an orange wall and lots of shells and sea critters. The orange wall draws the eye and makes the room seem larger and the color is bright and cheary.
Orange would be very warm, and often intense. If that's what you're going for I'd still suggest alternatives included, on opposing walls.

Orange also can be very stimulating, but not necessarily in a peaceful sense, and can seem very OLD and overwhelming in a short span of time.

If I was inclined, I'd go with it as a pastel,,,IE: Orange Sherbet, and that could be mixed with a mint green pastel, or even a pink, close to the green in accenting the room.

Never would I define and entire room in a shocking orange, especially if I spent a majority of my time in that room.

Side note. I find BLACK to be an excellent color in accenting, but could be very depressing in total.
i did my bedroom in a bright pretty orange to go with my dragon theme.i love it, it is warm and cheery!! i did have my serious doubts but im glad i did now
I painted my daughter's room with two walls orange and two a white so it wasn't overkill. Looks good that way. I wouldn't want all four orange.
My daughter did her home office in orange and painted her chairs lime green.Real retro and looks very pretty. If you don't like it you can always change it that is the great thing about paint
