Need help calculating square footage?

Our garage is 10 ft. x 22 ft. How many square feet is that? 220 square feet?

We want to put 12x12in. garage tiles on the floor. I need to know how many square tiles can fit on our garage floor, given the above dimensions.

Thanks!

I have been in the floor covering Business for 19 yrs you need to take W*L+15% this will give you plenty of tile to do your room and any repairs in the future. 253 square feet should be enough with the above dimensions.
Check tile doctor.com for more info on installations.

You are correct, it's 220 sq. ft. so it will take 220 tiles.

P.S. Be sure you know how to properly install them and start in the center of floor and work your way out from all directions.
220 square feet = 220 square feet of tiles. But you will need a few more for corners, joints, and damaged tiles.

convert your feet to inches which is 120, and 264 now multiply 120x264 and divide by 144 this is your square footage!! 38,016sf. good luck
Yeah, 220 sq. feet
Multiply width by length. You got it right.
But you also have to keep in mind the amount of space that will be in between each tile ( filled with grout ).
