Does a bedroom enjoy to enjoy a porthole contained by PA?

I live in an apartment that be listed as a 2 bedroom. One of the bedrooms does not hold a window. Is at hand supposed to be a window for emergency or ventilation? Does anyone know the law for this sort of thing?


Answers:    You do requirement to have ventalation surrounded by a beedroom. But more important you have need of egress. At least one fanlight in respectively bedroom must be of sufficient size to permit the occupant to escape a fire and also to allow a fully outfitted firefighter to enter.

An egress window must make happy all four Internatioinal Residential Code (IRC) criteria:

Minimum extent of opening: 20 contained by.
Minimum height of first: 24 in.
Minimum lattice clear opening: 5.7 sq. ft. (5.0 sq. ft. for ground floor).
Maximum sill increase above floor: 44 in.

So if it doesn't ahve this it's not a bedroom. A simple christen to your local bulding department can confirm this.
it is not consider a bedroom unless it has a fanlight. by law it have to and you have to be capable of get out of it
