can you paint over sterling silver?
Answers:
clean the tarnish off of it and spray it with CHEAP hair spray, it will seal the surface and slow down the tarnishing process, and will come off with soap and water. Try it don't paint it....
Other answers:
Don't paint it-you will destroy it. Sell it if you don't want to polish it

It's probably not sterling silver, but a metal. And metal is easy to paint. You can do it with a spray paint, or you can prime it by hand using Kilz or some other primer, then just paint it with whatever paint you like. If you use water based products, and change your mind later, you can wash them back off down to the original finish with just plain water, so it won't ruin anything.
Probably possible, but why would you want to?
Clean it and polish it regularly..
Do NOT paint silver. As someone else said - sell it if you don't want to polish it. Sterling silver tarnishes. It is when oxygen comes in contact with the silver that it blackens, so a sealant will help. Never ever paint silver. Buy some wooden or other material that does not tarnish and get rid of the silver, but, don't paint it!
