Stupid query: what's the difference between trim and molding?
Answers: Although often used interchangably, trim is essentially filler where on earth there are gap, like where on earth cabinetry meets the wall or another cabinet, where on earth baseboards meet flooring and 1/4 round fill the gaps. It can also be referring to crust around windows & door to frame them. Moulding technically is for a time more decorative and serves largely a showy purpose with the exception of stool rail which protects the wall from stool dings.
I believe trim is the wood that goes at the bottom of the wall and around doorframes, where on earth as molding is like stool rail that go the perimeter of the walls surrounded by the center as well as on the top of the wall (near ceiling)
Not stupid at adjectives. Trim is what makes edges that come together pretty. It is also call 'finished' work. Go to your bathroom and see the area where on earth the wall meets the floor, or where on earth the tub meets the floor. You will see spare strips of 'trim' hiding the crack where they come together. It help make things look prettier.
