Answers:    Bring some color into it with pillows. You can also use contrasting lampshades and accoutrements. Works for me.
How dark a blue is the carpeting?
If the carpeting is relatively dark,I don't know as I'd want white walls.
What around a very pallid grey or blue for the walls.I think next to the blue and black it would be too stark a contrast.
However,everyone to their own taste.Just a suggestion.
PAINT THE WALLS
You should be capable of use wood tables and it will look fine.Add a bit nautical stuff to the room . you can find different items to blend with your black and wood. weak items off ships make a payment a bit of brass to it too! That will lighten it up!
First I would look into a huge area rug that would combine your blues and blacks near some other colors that would then allow you to introduce those colors into the room to brighten it. It will also make a contribution your floor and sofas some definition and cohesiveness. You can pick up all the colors within your pillows and artwork and accessories but hold on to it clean not clutttered. I approaching the idea of chalice with this arrangement, but pilfer home a light wood table and see if it works until that time you invest in the unharmed room.
