What are cool things to go in my room, how do I get ride of stuff that I don't need, but little want it?

Do you live near a big city?
If so, you could post your garage sale on craigslist.org for your city. You could even just post the items you most want to get rid of.
How old are you? That will decide what should be in your room. I'd say cool things are a desk, computer, bookcase, mirror for checking out your hair/makeup, posters of movies/music you like, pictures of you with friends/family, anything you enjoy collecting (dolls, stuffed animals, license plates, etc.), a tv, a stereo, and maybe even a comfy chair for when you're reading or for when you have company.
Choose thing to put in your room that you enjoy. Decorate accordingly. If you love the sea, do a blue nautical/undersea theme with the colors and pictures in your room. I'm a huge fan of lime green and fruit, so I have kiwi shaped paperweights on my desk and a chair with limes on the fabric- all part of my theme.

First things first, you have to make your mind up what is really important to you and get rid of the rest. If you really want to keep somethings that won't go in your new room, find a large basket with a lid and store things in it. I have an old steamer trunk storing my doll collection. Only you know what would be "cool" in your room, go for a theme, dots, strips, etc.
In the heat Lemonade and hot dogs sell well.

You can go to freecycle.org, select the site that is closest to you and offer your stuff there. Then, you can get things from them too.
Some cool ideas could be had from going to a store in the mall and looking around.
When I go to garage sales, I look for items that are better quality than the ones that I have.
A food stand on a hot day would sell ice cream the best, I think. Or snow cones of different flavors.
