advice on small bedrooms?
Answers:
I have a tiny spare bedroom. Depends what you need to use it as (privacy wise) as I've taken the door off to allow for space behind where the door would normally open up, and have but a bamboo curtain up.
Have fitted a chest of drawers and free standing shelves on one side, and desk with pc under the window. For overnight guests, I bought a 'chair bed' from Argos, Ikea do a similair single futon bed and if they need a bit of privacy, there's a screen (3 parts that fold together) to put across the doorway.
Putting shelves on the wall would make the room feel cramped, and knocking through to make 1 room may affect the re-sale of your property as 2 bedrooms always sounds better.

I ahve a small room, L shaped so tis inconvenient, I egt a bunk in there, 4 benches for computers (2 mine 2 for customer repairs) and I have a rackmount switch in the corner on a tv bracket. Its cramped but it gets everything in. The idea is to spread things around, and dont be afraid to go upwards aswell as horizontally, put shelevs above each other etc
