I want my kitchen counters to look in order, similar to the model homes do? What should I put on them?
Answers: Me too! I love a pretty kitchen. Go to the kitchen section of just around any department store to see lots of pretty items. Check out free catalogs such as J.C. Penney's, Sears, Macy's, etc.
I hide everything and lone have nice canister and a large strawberry cookie jar even though we don't steep them up or use them. They are just for looks. Have you see the BIG chef cookie jar? So cute. There is another one that I like.....a hulking mushroom.
I also try to change near the seasons or holidays. This is so much fun to do.

as little as possible - try to preserve all clutter to a minimum - that will kind your kitchen look bigger and people will be capable of enjoy your stunning cabinets and granite counter tops
the cut set on a wood block...nice flowers...bowl of fruits to decorate
Canisters or move to cabinet or shelf.
Knife set (if contained by stand) or move to wall.
Daily/frequent used appliances: with me it is coffee initiator, and matching covers over standing mixer & can starter. Rest is open available space.
The smaller amount the better. I would have a terracotta piece like voice a rooster. Maybe a ceramic canister set surrounded by the theme you want or a gorgeous colorful bowl filled beside fruit. Maybe a small green real plant surrounded by a lovely ceramic planter. The toaster oven. Hopefully you hold a hanging microwave explicitly not on the counter top. That is it.
