I have a shower/tub with the old style sliding doors. Would like to replace it w/shower curtain. Any hints?

I am specifically concerned about the holes it will leave in the side of the fiberglass tub enclosure when it is unscrewed. Is there a product to patch or plug these? Has anyone done this before that can offer some advice?

Answers:
Most hole patching sites are about boats. But your ? is similar. If you try to patch a small hole in a boat or a tub, it is going to look like a patched hole.
Not good, right?
You have to do what would be done on a boat - build up and blend in an area - in your case the tub sill.
You need very good ventillation to work with fiberglass, because the epoxy that bonds it is very toxic! Suck the fumes out!
You need to cover the ledge with a fiber glass sheet,
cut it to fit. Follow the directions of the product, available at Home Depot or Lowes, applying to tub
surface (sand first to rought it up for bonding) and placing down sheet or sheets. Let cure and sand with progressively finer sandpaper (end with 600 grit, very fine.) Then you must paint.
