How do you get old paint of your tub and silver tracking of the shower?

The paint is also around the light on the ceiling and on the mirror. Any ideas???

If the paint is latex use denatured alcohol, if the paint is oil based enamel use a safe water based stripper, but make sure the tub is not plastic. both are from the home store.
