Answers:
Just rip out pics in old magazines, glue them down to recycled cardboard, & hang them up!

Also, join a Freecycle group near you.

Well, if you have no money, you'll have to do it with things already in the house. If you have paint already, you can just paint your room in this scheme. How artistic are you? If you have colored paper, you can try to cut things out and hang them around your room. Be creative and have fun!
Hand paint them. Take your time.
You could paint fairies and butterflies on your walls. Use cheap acrylic paints - they work fine as long as you don't want to wash your walls too much!
Go find some actual butterflies and some actual fairies and actual flowers and smash them onto your bedroom wall. Simple and it's FREE!

Seriously, you're going to need SOME money. Buy some cheap paint and a tiny art brush and do it yourself. Find pictures in books and copy them. Ask you parents first, of course.
you can go to to freecycle.org and see if anyone is getting rid of the type of items you mentioned.

freecycle.org is basically a free yard sale you just pick up the ithem from the person near you that has the items.

If you have a color printer maybe you can print out pictures of butterflies and faries. then after that cut those pictures and glue them on your wall
Well, if you have some limited funds to work with you can try a local dollar store in your area. Believe it or not, I've seen some cute stuff in these places. Sheets, knick-knacks, pictures, etc.. The prices are definitely right! Also, look into making things for your room like curtains, bedspreads and wall art. Use your imagination and you will probably end up with a pretty great room. Good luck!
Bring a net with you to bed and catch them in your dreams. Then when you wake up put glue on their legs and stick them to your walls. This is a good thing.
If you have bits of paper and a bit of wire, you could make butterflies and that maybe? Sounds wonderful though. Do you know anyone who's kept like the last bit of paints in tins 'just in case'? Use them, paint you walls will flowers and butterflies.

You could also cut pictures out and stick them to your wall. I'm sure you could get some sort of transparent paint to stick over them to keep them safe.
You can always get some pictures out of magazines and books and make them original by adding glitter and things that you probably already have around the house. You could also consider earning some money to fix it up. Not sure how old you are but it is spring and people always need help in the yard and babysitting pays too. Also, check with friends and see if anyone has anything that you can use or trade for. The more creative you get the happier you will be when it's done because it will be all you.
how about checking target or walmart they should have some small framed pictures of fairies for about $1.00 and you can buy about a yard of material in butterflies to cover a cushion you already have. then paint flowers on the wall or paint flowers on a plain piece of paper and use the frames you have in your house to frame them or buy cheap frames for about $1.00
Go to DIY store. wallpaper store and get samples of wallpaper or boarders with butterflies and fairies, these are free then cut out the things you want
stick them on the wall, better still get samples with pre pasted backing or peel off backing and stick them on the wall after cutting out what you want
You could try stencils. They are easy to do. Also look for wrapping paper with your theme on it, cut out the figures
using border glue paste them on the upper part of the wall near the ceiling as a border. If you want an aged look soak in tea then paste or after on the wall use a crackle look..
I have experienced similar situations as this throughout my younger days, so I suggest getting together with your best friends and offer to exchange similar types of service for them, I'm sure that your friends will be more than willing to assist you with financing your project and take part in helping you complete your project.
stencils. trace some nice pictures, cut them out and use them as stencils. If i were you though, I'd use a similar colour to the wall color so they are nice and subtle.. or black so they are silhouettes. make some leaves and vines as well otherwise it'll look like a cheap pattern.
first you should get inspiration from something such as childrens books and go out alot. Look at the different stores out there compare prices and try to find tips with colors, patterns and savings on the hgtv website. you can do your room with little money just use your sources from home and outside.
If your computer print, I would suggest you look on line and ask Jeeves for some photos of fairies, butterflies, and flowers. Once you get the photos you could color it the way you want it to be, than paste it to your wall in the places you like it to be. I would also suggest, if you can go to the 99 cent store and buy some of these items that you may need. You could also cash in the cans and bottles if you have some; they add up... Good Luck..
You would be surprised what you can do with craft paint, like the 2 oz. bottles that you can get at Wal-mart! Put your computer to work for you...go into any clip art programs that you have, choose pictures of butterflies or fairies, then re-size them to what you want. Print them out, using the coloring book option. using graphite paper (it's cheap)and trace your artwork on to your wall and paint. If you don't have a printer, use designs from a coloring book from a dollar store, use a pencil in place of the graphite paper and color the back of your design and then trace over your design, it will transfer right to the wall...then you can paint it. Have fun!
I'm into butterflies too. When I was redoing my room I took pics that I liked traced them onto cardboard, cut out the shape and you have a homemade stencil. you can use paint for a 2 dimensional look or for a couple bucks fill the stencil once taped to the wall with spackle. Carefully remove stencil, let dry, sand lightly and color with acrylic paint. It works best if you only do larger areas like wings though.
cut yourself a stencil of fairy and flutterbyes and flowers and get you a half dozen different colours of spray paint and some plastic gloves and if there is any overspray it will be more than allright it will be a work of art...getting the stencil? Make the stencil yourself: the basic shape of a butterfly...and a flower...you might actually want to have a variety of sizes...the problem i would have would be the stencil for the fairy...i suppose a disney tinkerbell would work...remember the overspray and how they interact/contact one another this is what will make your room more than a room...it will be a definite representation of your self: a work of art!
