OK, I am having a problem with paint colors for bedroom furniture colors. Help !!??
Answers:
if you are looking for the 50's feel...and you have painted walls and beams..why not go for that blonde wood stain that was popular back then?? it would really make the walls "pop"!
Other answers:
I would go white with the crackle then take a brown wax and rub it in after. Looks really good and would match with the other colors.

Go with an really creamy off white it will go really well with the theme and it will keep it vintage i wouldn't go with crackle though that's very country not 50's keep it clean!
use thee colors including a soft brown (for the wood on your bed) , lime green (for pillows) , and really soft yellow (for covers and sheets)
Can be used on walls also
Antique whites are universal, But if you want to be bold then use dark tone colors such as mauves or deep purples with the cracking to give it a hard look but still stay within the era
Why not just do in a light brown somewhere around Ginger Broad 3W15-6 0r 3W13-5 latex Devoe any paint should macth for you. First sand with 100 grit sandpaper and clean with nox-gloss for a good bond.
Than get some Nuwood wood finish because it has polyurethane stain in it ( Color walnut # 72-96L ) go with the wood grain and lay out over the painted furniture. If you cannot find this product where you live use Min-Wax.
Now this takes appox 3 days to 5 days to dry depending on humility.
Stand your draws up with knobs of look great i designed this just did some work at the old Gen Bragg Madison in Mobile. what this does is throws you a vintage wood grain.
