Which is the correct way the pillow should face?

When two are on a bed, (both in pillow cases) should the open ends of the case face outward, inward, both to the left, or both to the right? Is there really a correct way to do this?

Answers:
Esthetically............the open ends should face outward

Other answers:
All depends on personal preference. I like to have all my pillowcase openings facing to the left because I sleep facing the right, so I'm less likely to get my arm stuck inside the case or something while I'm sleeping. If you're just making your bed to make it look nice, you should probably face them inward so you can't see the openings. But in the end, there's no right or wrong way :-)

no there is no incorrect way
I think both to the left.
I always do both ends facing outward. It just seems right that way. But they'll feel just the same under your head any way you put them, so do what you like.
There is no correct way depends on what you like & prefer.
No offense meant at all, but does a degree take into account personal preference??? And no offense to the asker, but in my experience head pillows to be slept on are usually covered by various things,,,IE: Douvet, Quilt, Comforter, Grannys knit bed slip, etc.

If aesthetics are an issue, then I suggest too much emphasis is being placed on the purpose a pillow was designed for.

Certainly if you happen to be a housekeeper in a hotel, there will likely be guidlines, but if this is in your own home,,,WHO really is going to be critical, and do THEY matter to you?

No,depends on how you want it.
the open ends should face outward
up
1.open ends both facing to the outer edges of the bed
or
2. as you walk by the room open ends facing away from you
Open ends towards the edge of the bed so you don't tickle the nose of your bed partner with the floppy open end when sleeping at least thats what my ex wife had told me LOL
Open ends should face outward. Open end side usually has a decoration on it, right? It should be visible at the both side.
The open ends should always be out. It would look funny with them facing in.
