earth tones have more yellow in them. a brick red color always looks best with camel to me. just my opinion on the color. go to your local paint store or a hardware place and they'll explain it all to you. If you really want to find out alot take a course on it. I'm sure there's plenty of info online as well.

Browns, deep reds, deep greens and beige are all earth tones. Mostly dark warm colors is what I would suggest. I'm a big fan of burgundy or dark forest green.
earth tone colors- look out the window. camel sofa- reds, oranges and yellows or blues and greens and purple.
Earth tone colors are natural colors of earthly things like the color clay. And the color that would go good with a camel colored sofa is some shades of blue.
something like a sage green.. Burgundy. or a deep red. a brown maybe.maybe a royal blue if you work it in right... maybe with some curtain... or throw pillows or a nice rug that has some colors that you could work into accessories around the room.. that should work
"Earth Tones" are exactly what the term suggests. EARTH and all that is included.
With CAMEL, or any variation thereof I often use.../
Greens
Dark Reds,,,(magenta)
Black
Navy Blue
Contrasting or complim entary shades of the Brown tone of the CAMEL
It depends in part,,, on the balance of the room,,,IE furnishings carpet, drapes, and or a certain theme or effect you wish to project.

It's a personal choice you may have to live with for some time. Any color combination should also be what you define as comforting, casual, formal, animated, etc.
Invest in a color wheel
Earth tone colors are pretty much all neutral...the muddy greens, Khakis, tans, beiges, caramel and chocolate browns, taupes, grey; clay colors of yellow-orange, terra cotta, brick red. You actually have a whole spectrum of choices and any combination would look great with your sofa. Personally, I would go find either toss pillows, a painting or an area rug that you absolutely love with the camel color in it and choose colors from there. It's hard to give you one or two colors to use when I'm not sure what your decorating style is and you can use different colors to evoke different moods and styles. Remember, it's your home and should reflect who you are. Have fun!
cranberry, blueberry, olive, and mustard
A burn orange or a dark red would look grate with a camel color. I use Style Coast.com(www.stylecoast.com) any time I have to find accessories for a room
Earth tones are: browns, tans, rusts, deep greens, deep blues, etc. Camel is such a neutral color that you only have to pick a tone, and you'll find it'll be very attractive. Try deep blue with a beige and turquoise combination. That would be very attractive. Good luck!
earth tones are muted colors like brunt senna, yellow umber, dark browns, hunter green is good, almost any of these would go with camel. Try using a combo of browns and muted greens
