I like modern styles, at the moment I'm going through a cream phase in the living room with light beech wood for flooring and furniture. Everything has to match for me and every room needs a different colour and material theme.
eclectic, my house is quite the Hodge podge, I move a lot and I like to pick pieces here and there. I am minimal too, I think it is mostly because I have two toddlers though, all things are either dangerous or in danger.

I love Art Deco and contemporary. I hate country and Early American. I have gold furniture in my living room and navy in my family room. I don't go for strong colors on the walls because I have unusual taste in art--we collect science fiction and fantasy art. Since that art is so colorful, I prefer not to have the walls compete with it.

My fave look is the Brazilian plantation look and the African village look.
Even though they're very different from each other, they have many similarities.
Like, warm earthy tones, dark heavy furniture and thick woven area rugs over dark hardwood floors. Over sized vases and wooden face masks. And beautiful, nontraditional and unique chandeliers.
Shabby Chic, on the minimalist side. Shades of whites, with dark polished wooden floors. Light airy sheers on windows, and a few well placed large art pieces. Comfortable, relaxing, and pretty maintence free, I have to wash sofa and chair covers, but that only makes them softer and more comfortable. I am also very fond of having bowls full of cut flowers, in whites and pale yellows all over with candles.Can be very romantic, and smells heavanly.
