What can I put under entertainment center to prevent it from wobbling on thick carpet?

In my previous apartment I had pergo floors, and the center was fine. Now it doesn't seem secure, as if it could fall over at any time. The center itself is fine, so it must be the thick carpet. What can I use? Is there some type of mat, similar to an exercise mat for fitness equipment? Or would a piece of linoleum or tile do it?

Answers:
I would screw a wire to the wall stud and one in the back of the cabinet to secure it. You dont' need to put anything under it if you know it won't fall over. Make sure you hit a stud though or it will fall over. If it is a large unit, you may want to put two wires one on each side.

buy a kit to bolt it to The back of the wall before it falls over, and someone gets hurt
cut a piece of 1/2in. or 5/8in. plywood or particle board about 1 in. longer and 1 in. wider than the base of your entertainment center, center it underneath and tack it or screw it to the bottom, this will help sread the weight out evenly, if you want then the 1/2in. 0f plywood that sticks out all around the edge may be painted or stained to match the color of your center.
