the salt water is still sanitary but none of the nasty effects of chlorine such as burning eyes, sticking of the hair, etc.
salt water needs less upkeep and is cheaper to maintain
I say it's the salty taste
Salt water pools are good for training because you are more buoyant and so your workout is better. Chlorine is good if you want green hair!
As per my opinion, when human body is exposed to chlorine water regularly, like taking bath with it, or swimming in chlorine water filled pool, the spores in the body get a bit of infringments and tend to seize their normal functionality over a certain period of time. And salt water tends to provide the required hydrants to the body making it more advantageous over chlorine water. But, beware, hair exposed to salt contents tend to loose its charm and glow making it dull and fragile.
I'm with ruby didn't know they made them where can I get one
I've only just recently heard of salt water pools and the person who had it was telling me that the salt water is better for your hair and skin (if you spend a lot of time in the pool) because you don't have to add chlorine and other chemicals to treat the water. It maintains the pH level better and therefore is less maintenance. It's also supposed to regulate the temperature better so it doesn't get too hot or too cold like pools can if they are in the sun or shade for part of the day.
Some pages on the subject.
Hope this helps.
