I am going to remodel parts of my house and i want to install internet outlets who do I have to hire?

Answers:
actually you can do it yourself, weather it is phone, cable or what ever. Get the parts at Home depot or Lowes

Other answers:
depends on how you're getting your internet. if its dial up or dsl, the phone company, if its cable, the cable company

electricians usually run both of them wires, but would save money if you go buy the spools of wire and do it yourself
if you are going to have work done and there are going to be electritians working in your house just ask them they should do it for you. But not then call a security or data installing company to do it for you. Dont call the phone or cable companys they will ripe you off and do a crappy job. they basically do it the chepest and easiest way possible. You could even shop around with electrical contractors in your area. They are used to snaking wires through walls and stuff so its not a big deal for them. Now if you are adding a service to your house that you have not previously had then you might need to call the phone or calble company.
If your a "handyman" then you can do it yourself, or if your into a learning curve, it would be great experience.

Remember, you want to wire up
cable, I recommend that you have an outlet in all 4 walls, middle where you would put your television, because people tend to move them a lot...(use wall plates for cable).

telephone, (both telephone and dsl (2 pair & 3 pair cables).
Again, 4 walls, using wall plates for each of them.

Speaker wires, You may want to add Home Theatre some day to your television, same as before, 4 walls by the cable outlet. (Use heavy cable for the speakers, too).

Electical outlets. I personally like to have 2-3 to a wall, on each wall, because you can always connect different things in them, and with the advent of boxes from sattelites, cable, stereos, tellevision..(see, a lot of extension cords if they are not close).

Ok, you can get a handy man to do this, unless you are in the City, or Municipality, then check with the local Building Inspector, and see what codes you have to abide by, and if you have to have it installed "professionally".
Somethings, are "required", by the Governing Body to be put in and inspected, by a professional, but, other things, a home owner can do himself, or have his friendly neighbor, or brother in law help on these items...

Just my opinion..
