How much would it cost to hold a wooden floor put surrounded by a fairly small bedroom?
AND contained by a long thin bedroom, a couple of metres by A LOT. PLEASE!

Answers: We not long installed hardwood floors in three bedrooms and the passageway. I found mixed red and white oak tongue and groove shorts (18" to 48" boards) for 99 cents a square foot. However, you have to factor contained by 10 to 20% waste, the cost of shipping or picking up the wood plus the asphalt paper underlayment, the rental allowance for the air nailer (and nouns compressor if you don't have one) a box of staples and the rental for the sander, sandpaper and any stain or polyurethane finishes. My estimate (sorry - I don't do pounds) is going on for $2.50 a square foot - not counting our labor. I would certainly do it again but cost it out okay before you start ripping up runner. Also, to limit the time factor (and rental costs) choose wider plank full length boards.
If your bedroom is long and thin, consider running the boards the short approach across the room - it will give the optical mirage of a more square room.
Heads up - you will need to be sure of your subfloors integrity earlier you begin. If possible, obtain under the house and look at the joist and your diagonally laid subfloor to be sure that it is dry and not popping up anwhere.
This is a project that a reasonably handy girl can do within a weekend - especially if all the prep work have been done the week earlier. You have to remove the hearth rug, its backing, and any vinyl tiles underneath that are coming loose. Also, patch any holes or low spots within the floor and nail down any subfloor boards that are popping up. You also own to remove the baseboards and undercut the door casings so you can slide the boards beneath. You can also lay and staple the tar composition down during the week before so you are all set to nail the boards within as soon as you rent the tools. Unless you are somehow tragically un-handy you can do this project yourself and will save a Bundle on labor which you can spend on getting trait materials (which in turn will squirrel away you time, money and headaches) not to mention that doing it yourself provides enormous self-righteousness (and Brownie points!)

It adjectives depends on the wood. a few meter squared shouldn't cost you more than 60quid on half deent wood, and consequently you have the graft on top of that if you're not doing it yourself. That can be pricey. All depends. i'd say-so for an ordinary cheap softwood you're looking almost 100pounds, up it up to oak you're looking at 250. these are all estimates. I'd own to price the materials you wanted and see how big the undertaking is.
