what type of adhesive do you use to attach ceramic tile directly to wood?.?

I am doing an art project with tiles I bought in Mexico

Oy vey.

If you're adhering tile directly to wood for floor installation you should be using a Latex Modified thinset.( I reccommend eithe rTec superflex or Mapei ultracontact)

For wall use mastic is more oftenly used.

Hope you find this info useful and good luck

You can use liquid nails, lock tight, tile adhesive, aquarium seal, thinset, silicone glue, or E6000 glue. I've used them all but my preference is lock tight because it works fast, gives a good seal and holds really tight.

I think the sillicone would be better cause the wood will expand and contract and the tiles won't. The more flexible the adhesive, the better.
