I am looking at buying a used Whirlpool microwave that was mounted against a wall to replace my Hotpoint microwave to be precise mounted over an island (under cabinets & cabinet on the side with a board covering the back). They are both 30" wide open. I'm wondering if the mounting parts are universal so I could use like parts. The guy selling his says he just has the wall mount. Is this a difficult livelihood? Thanks for the help!
Answers: You will want to examine the two cooperatively - many are different not purely between brands but between models. But don't worry, if you're handy you can mount it anyway.
