What color combinations are good to use so that I can make a small room look bigger?

This is for a retail store that is about 1300 square feet. I need to make this little spot appear bigger than it really is. (Also, is there any color that isn't annoying that would make people want to buy now??? example: I've heard that the color red makes people angry! Thanks

Answers:
Use light colors on three walls and a darker color on one less important wall. the light color will expand the feel of the room and the dark wall will add depth. Otherwise use mirrors on one wall to add depth. Red is a "hot" color. Blues and greens are cool colors and help to soothe...

Colors may not help people buy but may keep them around longer until they decide to buy! LOL

Other answers:
10x10 is 10x10 stay with a tan, cream, white colors its less annoying.
What I'm trying to say is its only a myth on saying its bigger.

Cream or white are good colours to mark rooms look bigger. The colour yellow makes people feel happier and I've heard green is good for making people spend money...good luck.
i think that something light and whiteish makes it look bigger. well, maybe not that much bigger, but definetly more clean and organised-looking
Light blue and white and if you have a small window hang really large curtains up over it
The overall rule is white is right !! Red is wrong !
White & add mirrors to the ceiling borders !!
I would use a light soft green it relaxes people.
use mirrors, windows, and light colors
First of all, no color is really going to make it seem bigger. People like stores that make them feel comfortable and happy. The Debbie Travis paint collection divides the colors into feeling, so for instance if you want a happy room they will give you ideas for that and if you want a cozy room, they will give you suggestions for that. Butter yellow usually accomplishes this although you might not want it everywhere. What you really need is to make sure that the space is not cluttered. Find unique space saving solutions that will make the space feel comfortable and make coming into the space enjoyable. You want people to come back right? I would way make the space warm, comfortable, and unique and as long as you're selling something people want, they will enjoy the experience and come back.
