I have done PLENTY.. YOu are describing something which leaves many questions.. more questions than answers. I would have to see the house... Then the problem of individual desires.. To me, it may need repair.. to you, absolutely not. Painting, would depend on how many square feet of space.. what color are the existing walls.. what color you want them.. to know whether a primer is needed and then how many coates of paint, etc etc.. In other words... from what your questing is posing, I would have no idea because there is just not enough detail

"Repairs" is too vague a request. Good quality paint will run about $20 a gallon. You usually need to do 2 coats to get even color. You can get away with 1 coat if you're doing white over white, or 2 very similar, light colors.
