foreign exchange student, help?
Answers:
First of all I'm an American / Dutch living aboard in The Netherlands I live next door to Germany if its a teenager knowing my son which is Dutch they are likely to fix things up ''There Way!'' what you do is (ask her) what is best give them the choice to choose and the space! Kids born and living abroad have definitely a difference in mentality about things...So give her the opportunity to understand you as well there is no need for a shocking experiences.

Why not let her do it, let her pick out the color and design.
Keep it simple...maybe redo the curtains and the bedspread...Ikea has inexpensive and nice designs...That's really nice, and I hope that you and your family enjoy your multicultural experience. I was a foreign exchange student in highschool also.
