Hahaha...I have seen this before, even though they wouldn't allow that in my neighborhood. It's like people are too lazy to take down and put back up their lights so they just leave them on year-round. Hopefully they don't actually turn them on at night!!
We just took ours down on the bushes out front. We forgot they were there until the bushes starting blooming and you could see the lights amongst the flowers.
We march to a little different beat out here in SoCal. Some people wrap their palm trees with X-Mas lights using them as landscape lighting during the summer! It actually looks cool at night, but generally they have other accent lights spotlighting focal points in their yards, as well. I have to admit, however, I WAS the last one in our neighborhood to take down my decorations this year!

Yes. I love in Redneckville, USA. They will just plug them back in for christmas. And what kills me is that they will work. The ones I placed back neatly in a box will be trash. I may start leaving mine up.
