Laminate and Thermofoil, are these durable to wood doors?
Answers:
Laminate will most likely chip over time. In regards to the thermofoil doors, i had a customer with the exact questions and craftsmaid cabinets offer a lifetime finish on their doors from turning yellow or peeling. However, if you drop something on it and you damage it, you have to replace it. Wood doors will last a live time with proper care and maintenance. Send me an e-mail if you have any questions or want to see some pictures of the job where she chose those white cabinets.
Other answers:
A laminate can be of any material which can be made thin enough to be applied to the surface of a door. If it is a wood lam then it has all the same issues as a wood door in regards to finish.
Thermofoil is a product used to rate a door. If the finish of the door is the question see above.
