Do i still need a vegetable rack?

I don't know - do you? I think it would come in quite handy though, although i tend to keep my veg in the fridge these days.

Not really. Keep cabbage in the fridge it will keep better there and not go yellow as quick. Wrap carrots, parsnips and other root veg in tin foil and keep in the fridge will keep for up to 3 weeks this way and not go soft or black.
I was given these tips about 5 years ago and have cut my veg bill in half as I don't throw as much veg away.
Vegetable racks went out with the arc. This is the 21 centuary not 1890
not if you have kids or dogs just put them in bottom of fridge

Its not an essential item. Just keep potatoes, onions, garlic etc in a dark cupboard and greens in the fridge, oranges and apples in the fridge, bananas on the table.
Most vegetable racks are free-standing. Maybe they were invented before the fridge.
