How can I turn my dining room into my bedroom?

In the house that I am renting I want to turn the first floor dining room into a bedroom for myself. I am disabled and that leaves the three bedrooms upstairs for our three children plus a possible "rec" room.

Answers:
I did this once. I put up screen type dividers, easy to make. 4 pieces of wood and a material center with hinges.
Then I decorated my room. The afore mentioned works great if you have no walls other than two. If you have the walls and only thing is the opening, try making a curtain for it and tie back the curtain in the day time with a sheer behind it for a little privacy. Use whatever you have around the house, check out hgtv.com and see what they have for a suggestion. Enjoy your new room!

Since you are renting it, and don't want to do anything permanent, use (depending on how wide your doorways are) you can use shower curtain rods and curtains for privacy. Or if larger, use curtain rods and make the curtains out of large sheets folded over at the top and sewn with a casing that the rod will slip through.
start with a bed.
