Alder was suggested as a good wood for bathroom vanity. Any information about his wood species would be great.
Answers:
I work with it at kitchen Craft everyday. It has a real country feel to it. It is a darker wood like a cherry but a little darker still. It has tons of knot holes in it that are very dark black. Don't worry though if they are properly manufactured you should not see through them. If you like an old and rustic feel that has country charm then go for it. I would best describe them as cabin and when painted just natural they are very beautiful. It is also a very soft wood so it is easily damageable if you have young children I would not recommend it.
