How you paint over wallpaper?

hey my mom and dad wondering if you can paint over wallpaer and how to do it. is it even a good opinion? do you reccommend it?

help please. thanks<3

Answers:    Nope. Remove the wallpaper first ...consequently prime (use KILZ primer) ....then paint near a flat paint.

Go to Home Depot and get a wall serious newspaper removal kit.... and a steamer. You can usually rent a steamer from them as all right. Then you will have to steam and 'score' the wallpaper so it will crust off.

The steam melt the old bonding agent ...then you can peel/scrape sour the wallpaper easily.

Then paint.
Not a moral idea to paint over wall serious newspaper. Best to remove it first. I've had great nouns with a moment ago a spray bottle of warm marine mixed with a moment or two detergent and a paint scraper. Spray one section of wall dissertation at a time, let it set long adequate to moisten the wallpaper and peel sour by hand. Once the vinyl have been peel off, spray again and progress at it with the paint scraper. After adjectives the wall paper have been removed, scrub the walls down next to TSP or even just hose and vinegar (75% water to 25% white vinegar). Let dry. Apply one coat of primer until that time applying the paint. It's a messy job, but the results are ably worth it.
