how do i light a glass bar top from below and make it bright?

Answers:
Try lighting it from the side. This way you will only illuminate the particles in the glass and not everything above it. Also try using a colour filter on the light source for a different effect. Yellows and reds for winter, blues and greens for summer. We also sat crumpled aluminium foil under the glass sheet for texture and to reflect extra light. If it is in a "WET" area you may also want to install low voltage (12 v) for safety, using a transformer.

Get those neon string lights...stylish, all colors, flexible, and will brighten your bar.
May i suggest "Rope light" available at Home Depot Lighting aisle. Seem perfect for your purpose. Warm, cool and subtle. good luck!!
Just a suggestion-- bright lights from below-- towards the chin and nose-- isn't very flattering. Just think about that flashlight you used under your chin for Halloween! I think rope lights would be good.
Good luck
