where do you find fabric in a checkerboard pattern?
Answers:
it would cost thousands to have even one yard of fabric designed for you, the cost is in the setup fees. and black and white are about the only colors you usually see in checks like that. you can purchase fabric paints, and use a yardstick to mark off on plain colored fabric, and then paint alternating checks. i would do the painting in the darker of the two colors using the plain fabrics own color for the lighter of the two, then practice a while at getting things straight and having the paint at the right consistancy. have fun.

Go to a Diane Fabrics store. They have many, many types of fabric to choose from, and would probably even order what you needed if you ask. Good luck!
The largest gingham I've seen was 1 inch by 1 inch squares, and is in every fabric store, although I've never seen that in avocado.
