We are upgrading our master bath and are considering adding a spa tub. Any recommendations or comments?
Answers:
We just re-did our master bath and put in a spa tub. it was the best thing we ever did. I love my tub. The only thing I wish we would have done differently was to buy a tub with an in-line heater. I could stay in the tub longer that way!! :)

We have a spa tub in our master suite's bathroom. My advice is to make sure you'll really use it before installing one. Don't get one that's too big. We installed one large enough for two people and filling it completely drains our water heater (we had to install a second water heater just for this purpose).
Also, if you're thinking of a extra large tub, make sure you place it in the room so that you can easily reach all the controls and clean it. A large two-person tub placed against a wall is impossible to clean unless you get in it to reach the far side.
When you shop for a tub, be sure to sit in it to be certain it's comfortable and the right size for you. Also look at the placement of the jets to certain that they are positioned correctly for your size and needs.
