His favorite color, even if it seems silly.
Did you ask'em what color he likes??
Go wth a medievel theme...boys like tha, like with swords and bricks, it will look awesome!
yeah asking him would help..a lot of guys like blue.or white
Stool-brown
my fav color is blue
the one he likes
Ask him what his favorite color is.. or take him to the store so you can choose together :]
light yellow or light green or light blue.
polka dotted lol
you should ask him, he is the one that will have to live with it. Get him involved
I agree--ask him and let him help!!
If he has a fav team you could pick one of the colors from their jersey. Or could go with the standard blues or greens which is always safe for a boy. He probably want care anyway, that is he want care unless it's pink then you will have a very unhappy boy.
Visit your local hardware/doityourself store...home depot, mendards, lowes....they will have samples of bedrooms for kids of all ages. I did this a while back for my 2 girls and it was a great help! They chose the picture/sample and I bought the paint based on it. All is well.
I have an 8 year old boy and he didn't know what colour to paint his room so I asked him for a theme. I gave him a few ideas and he chose a jungle theme so we are painting it green. The best colour to paint your son's room is a colour that he's happy with, even if it doesn't match your decor. It helps them to know that their opiion matters, makes them fell important.
Paint the ceiling dark blue, buy some of those phosphorescent stars(glow in the dark)and cover his night world with the universe, give him a grasp of the possibilities, girl! I did my son's room like this.
It's huge.
Just freshen up his room with the existing color & get him a poster collection of his favorite thing. Start it off for him but let him decorate it himself. He will truly love his room & he will feel as if the change in his room was all his great idea. Buy him new comforter & curtains to match his posters. Good Luck!
Allow him to choose the color or colors! Suggest to him that he may want to paint each wall a different color. Paint a tic-tac-toe in contrasting shapes, paint geometric forms (a triangle inside a circle inside a square inside an octagon, etc). The favorite room I ever had was painted in bright blue and bright green and in geometric shapes on each quadrant of each walls with no two walls the same. It was a work in progress that I started when about your son's age and intermittently worked on until I left home for college....an awful lot of memories on those walls.....
actually if he's into space stuff or car stuff i'd say a wallpaper or borders would be better... Sherman williams has great options... if too pricey you can still be creative...sticker paper and fabrics or posters are great ways to add life without dramatically changing your house (for if & when you decide to sell)
I would ask him to pick out the particular color.
My DS's favorite color is green, and DD's is pink. So
I plan to paint a solid-colored "magnetic board" in each of their rooms instead of painting their entire rooms, so they can easily be re-painted if they outgrow it. Just paint magnetic primer in a rectangle (or desired shape), paint over with color, and use as a magnetic board.
Also, I don't know about your son, but my DS9 and DD7 (and most of their friends) love camoflauge. Both have their beds set sideways like daybeds, under window & between bookcases, and have green camo comforter & sham, green bedskirt (straight, no ruffles), and desert camo sheet sets. DS has camo covered body pillow and DD has pink leopard covered one w/camo throw pillow.
nothing to dark, becuase of when its time to repaint.... if its less than 33% grey on a greyscale you should be cool.
10YRS MEAN COLORFUL! THE GOOD PAINT COLOR IS BRIGHT COLOR. YOU CAN ALSO DRAWING SOME GOOD STUFF RELATED TO LEARNING AND IMAGINATION.
Ask him or paint it rainbow. Probably the color he likes best on the wall facing him when he is lying down. the ceiling
What colour does he want? If it's a really dark colour, try getting a colour that will go well with it and use the colour he wants on the accents, trim, etc.
