The success of any decorating scheme depends on how well it suits all the members of your family. To create a décor that you will be happy with, think about what you want and also what you don’t want.

It’s a good idea to know what you have before you begun to change things. As you begin to pull your design ideas together, think about your preference and what will work in your home.

Color can work wonders... it can change the look of a room and change your feeling about the room. You can start by looking through magazines, and catalogs. Give yourself plenty of time, it will take longer than you think, and your ideas will develop as you go.

Gathering samples is a great way to begin. If you are starting with a color, your samples might include fabric, paint chips, wallpaper, carpet, wood, stone, and tile.

Knowing what you can spend on a project will give you a clearer idea of what you can achieve. If you’ll on a limited budget, mark off those things that will make the most difference, such as a new wall color and a new sofa.

You can set the mood of a room in lots of ways, such as lights, and furnishings. There are no hard or fast rules or must-do sequence for this process.

Ok my best idea that I have had. If you're looking to redecorate it complelty would be to paint one wall black and the rest of the red. They have cute inexpensive red bedspreads at target .

That or you can try to do a whole wall of black and white photos of you and anyone else you care to have. Then paint some sort of design on the other 3 walls. If you want more room ideas look on the intenet or in magazines. That's where I find most of my ideas.

well, i too always had trouble cleaning my room. everytime someone else cleaned it for me, i would loose all my stuffs. so the best thing to do is, vaccum clean your room, arrange your stuffs in the same place where you can find them. just arranging the scattered objects will make your room clean!
hummm a suggest a light color if u r older and dont want to have to rush everywhere and will spend time in that room but if your younng and/or u r rushed alot then i suggest making different colored walls no solid black walls it makes the room sad
In a room this small I wouldn't do a super dark color, nor should it be very very light. Go with a medium tone to a rich color and it'll make the room appear bigger.
If you put trim (or whatever it's called) on the very top of the wall, but not touching the cieling, like about 4 inches below the cieling all the way around the room and painted that area above the trim and the cieling a very very light color it will also make your room appear taller.

Use light colored drapes. It'll bring in more light. Dark, heavy ones will make the room look small and heavy. Not soothing for a bedroom.

Try going for a soothing colors for the room. A good trio would be: blue, green and purple.
Something more happy but soothing would be: green, yellow and blue.
Something romantic and action inspiring would be: red, black and gold or pink.
If you want it country like do a wainscoat on the bottom of the walls, but put it up high, like almost 3/4 of the way up the wall. This will also lift the room. Do it white and then a dark color above it. Dark blue or purple or red or whatever would be nice above it. Even a dark gray, as long as you get more friendly colors mixed in there, too.

To minimize a cluttery appearance, which is not good for a bedroom, is to have a closet organizer. Some even put their books in the closet.
If you have shelves in your room, try covering up the opening of it with a drape attached to the top and bottom of the shelf that you can slide to either side to get to the books and other stuff.
Or, cover up each book, box, and other items with light colored paper or fabric. Makes it appear neat and not too busy. But stick with the lightest shades of the colors in the room.

Make all your furniture the same color, or close to the same. Make them light colored. You don't want to have furniture that's dark up against a dark wall in a small place like a bedroom. Too smothering.

Figure out your style and go online and to stores in your area and just look and write down what you like, or take a digital picture or print it off and then collect everything afterwords and decide what looks best together, what you like the most, etc.
The best way to do this is find one piece that you absolutely must have and love and then match everything else to it. Take colors from this piece and spread them throughout the room in various objects.

Good luck!
I'M WONDERING, DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING YOU REALLY LOVE? COLOR, ARTIST, FABRICS, OBJECTS, ETC? NO ONE CAN DECORATE FOR YOU, ONLY YOU KNOW WHAT YOU REALLY LIKE. MAYBE YOU CAN DO A LITTLE RESEARCH IN A DECORATING KIND OF STORE LIKE A HOBBY LOBBY OR PIER 1, MY FAVORITE PLACES TO FIND VERY UNIQUE AND COOL STUFF. JUST WALKING AROUND PLACES LIKE THAT MIGHT HELP TO INSPIRE YOU. IT WILL BE A BLAST IF YOU'RE STARTING FROM SCRATCH WITH A BOX. BE OPEN MINDED AND DON'T HAVE EVERYONE TELL YOU HOW TO DO IT. THERE ARE NO RIGHT AND WRONG RULES ABOUT MAKING A ROOM BEAUTIFUL, COMFY AND VERY COOL. JUST PUT THINGS IN IT THAT SPEAK TO WHO YOU ARE AND MAKE IT YOUR OWN CREATION, IT WILL BE SOMETHING YOU CAN BE PROUD OF. TRUST YOURSELF AND HAVE A GREAT TIME!
paint it a nice color that you like and get tiny but cute furniture to fit in the room and go with bright colors.
arrange it so you'll feel good when you're there!
good luck!
