Anitque Fishing Net?
It is long and narrow.
It can either be indoors or out (would rather indoor) and I have three "star tacks" I can use.

How cool! This is an item that needs to be a part of the overall theme. If you just put up a net and decorate it, it may look odd. Do you have a nautical theme anywhere inthe house?? If so, mabe hang it in a way to "catch" things, or get shells, starfish, small boats, etc... A hall way can be transformed if you don't have a theme that matches this item.

As art...hmmm...that may require altering it some and maybe lose the antique feel. How about putting some lighting behind it, or through it. You could spray paint it a variety of colors...

you could do like they do on that one movie "man of the house" with JTT. *the old one, not the new one* they collect things like shells and driftwood from the ocean and put it in the net. kinda like their own peice of artwork, it looks really cool on the movie
display it on a favorite wall of yours..Go to a fishing decore store and add crabs, shells, etc to it.
ON A WALL OR AROUND A DOOR
THE WALL IDEAS ARE GREAT. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LOT OF WALL SPACE IT WOULD MAKE A VERY COOL COVER FOR A TABLE. YOU COULD ARRANGE YOUR OTHER FISHING STUFF ON IT. I WOULDN'T LAY IT FLAT, RUFFLE IT UP JUST ENOUGH TO ADD A LITTLE INTEREST AND MAYBE NEST A FEW THINGS IN IT. I HAD A STORE BOUGHT NET A FEW YEARS AGO AND DID THAT, IT WAS JUST SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO DO AND IT LOOKED VERY COOL. WISH IT HAD BEEN THE REAL THING!! WHATEVER YOU DO WILL BE GREAT! HAVE FUN....
Drape it on your bathroom ceiling and attach marine things to it, such as starfish, crabs, lobsters etc.
