I feel that there is an underground leak in one of my zones. Is there such a tool as an undergroundleak detect
Answers:
I take it that you are talking about your lawn irrigation system. The answer is yes and no. There is no way of detecting the plastic water pipe, but you can detect the wiring to the zone valves. The device is expensive.
The best way to find the leak is to keep the system off for a while and see if an area is damp or wet, then start digging.

If you can plug up your water sprinklers, at the head, then go to your local water plant, and ask them, (if you know the Superintendent), to borrow thier sound sensing device..., you will fint out which one it is...
Or, plug up each one of them, and turn the water on.
Then, if you have an automotive sensing device, you can put it on the top of one of the sprinkler heads, that is plugged, and if the water is running, out of that hose, you will hear it! (This will only cost you about 20 bucks or so). Plugging the hose up, after you take the heads off, will be something you have to attend to, becauses I dont know what type of threads they have, so I cant advise you on that one...sorry.
I wish you well..
