a couple of questions??
2.we just bought our first home, the formal dining room,living room and a little room(making into office) run together(has doorways with frames to each-but no doors)my question is;do we have to make them all same color? or can we make one blue,one green and the other a blue?
3. there is a border up along ceiling in each of those same rooms; do we have to try and take that completely off or do we just put primer over and then paint?
if not enough info. just ask me. thanks for any thoughts on any of these.

look it does not mater what color you paint stuff you are the one living with it i know people that have diffrent colors in each room they are happy with it do what you want ok.

I have four, and one (a male) is a lap-cat. He is always crawling in my lap.
Another, a female, likes to sit right next to me to be petted and scratched.
Another female likes to be very close, within arm's reach, but no closer, to be petted.
The fourth one, a male, only likes to have his neck scratched. I think he has been in my lap once in over 2 years. It was sweet though, the only time he crawled in my lap was when I was VERY unhappy.
I cant answer your first question as i have no experince with regards to pets and their behaviours.
The answer for your second question is i would suggest that you go for the same colour in all the 3 rooms that run together and that too soft pastel shades it would really be nice as it would create harmony and also be pleasant to the eye among the 3 rooms instead of havin different colors in each room.Also if possible if u can remove the frames to the doorways and have an open plan for dinin and livin room or a sort of simple arch it would do wonders for the look of your home.
And about the border if it is a neat little border with not many garish colors u can keep and also if possible try to match a color on it with the paint on the walls or if it is to bold in design n color u can very well paint over it....but be careful in choosin ur wall colors as i dont think you would want to spend money again n again if u dont like the colors...All the best and Enjoy ur new Home.

It is your home and their are no rules in my book. Do with it what you want. If you do not like the result then paint over it.
