want to know how to price up decorating jobs ie. painting windows?
Answers:
first make a costing of how much your expenses will be then add on a reasonable amount for labour, then ad on a bit more so you can be talked down into doing the job cheaper and still get a good price. good luck dont forget to add vat.

Is painting a window a good idea? I like to see out of mine.

I thought what you did was make a guess at how rich and/or stupid the customers were and adjust the price accordingly?
I don't know really I would look in the yellow pages and ring round fro quotes, but I would not go for some one who is charging too much.
best thing to do is give yourself an hourly labour charge, say thirty quid an hour and times it by how long the job will take, with a high labour rate it is often unwise to add on materials aswell.
