Can you buy freshly a piece of mat at Lowes or Home Depot? (example: a 6x9)?

Answers:    yes, you can, they have a remnant section surrounded by the carpet dept with adjectives sizes and kinds...very pious prices also.
I've never bought one at Home Depot or Lowe's.

I would suggest going to a flooring store. They will have carpet remnants that you can use as an nouns rug. They will also be able to bind the edges for you, if your particular remnant requires that. The cost for binding the edges usually runs around $2 per linear foot.

**Edit: I just remembered that Home Depot and Lowe's both DO sell mat remnants. They're usually already cut to a standard rug size. The problem is that their selection is usually quite poor. I'd still suggest a flooring store.
Anyplace that installs mat usually has scraps surplus from big jobs. The thing is, they do different things next to the scraps. Call Lowes and Home Depot and any carpet place surrounded by town to see what they do with their scraps. And, if you want to gross a rug out of it, ask if they can "bind" it for you to finish off the edges (for a fee, of course). Yes, you can choose from rolls of hearth rug and have it cut to size. I have a friend working at Lowes contained by the flooring department and he's done this for lots of customers.
Any Shaw dealer will give you any size you request and hold it bound.

It cost me about 250.00 for a 10x12 patterned pile
