I basically found out that a handyman perform some poor work on my property, can I rob him to court and verbs?

Oct 2006, I hired handyman to replace some rotted wood on my property, caulk and paint, he didnt finish replacing the wood, left the debris, and vanished the building primed white, when it should have been painted blue. I own the paint, he took me to small claims court and the judge insisted I need to finish paying him for what he didnt do. Today, I found out that one of the gate he replace feel off of its hinge. The work he performed was poorer than I thought. Can I very soon take him to small claims court and show punitive damages or just verbs the poor workmansip at this point? This door he didnt repair correctly is a security door on the property.

Answers:    Since he is a handyman, he may not be licensed. Unless if he is licensed, he is not held to any standard of minimum competancy. The only road that you can win in small claims court is if you can prove that he defrauded you within some manner. So if he's unlicensed, you really can't go after him for poor craftsmanship. If he is licensed, later you should contact the registrar of contractors and file a claim against him. After you register the claim, then you can run him to a mediator.
