Why do ceiling tiles enjoy to be open 24 hrs. since installing ?
Answers: don't know if this is still true, might be an old box of tiles, but it used to be to acclimate the material to the temp and humidity of the house. Which make a difference in the way they will conform to the ceiling slope, if any. Today, don't surmise you really have to wait, but consequently again, what could it hurt huh?
I know you have to do that with wood flooring so it get used to its new environment - it will expand and contract with its topical area it is in, and you want it to do that until that time you install it and then it would expand or contract ruining everything maybe because they smell unpromising or something, so they dont want your bathroom to smell like new tiles. freshly follow the instructions and dont get into any trouble, ceiling tiles are not cheap.
Only reason could be adjust to humidity, but I hold never heard of this requirement, Who says they do?Not aware of this one.
